Repertoire
Since being founded the choir has built up an eclectic repertoire, expertly chosen by Sheila Farmer.
There are pieces to please everyone, serious and humorous, religious and secular.
Most performances include :-
short classical pieces from such composers as Bach, Thomas Tallis, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Brahms and Bruckner;
traditional songs from various countries and sung in the appropriate languages;
songs from the shows by Gershwin, Jerome Kern etc.;
popular songs from the Beatles, Barry Manilow, Paul Simon, Elton John and Westlife;
challenging and beautiful modern pieces.
Christmas concerts are given each year with much loved favourites and introducing less well known pieces.
